Goth: Researching a Famous Act

Bauhaus Bauhaus were a English rock band that formed in 1987. The group consisted of Peter Murphy (vocals), Daniel Ash (guitar) and David J (bass); they were all from Northampton. The band started off as Bauhaus 1919 however within a year of formation they shortened their name into Bahaus.

They were considered to be the first gothic rock group because of their dark and gloomy sound and appearance. Bauhaus broke up in 1983, Peter began a solo career and the other band members formed Tones On Tail and later Love on Rockets. They both had more commercial success than what they had in Bahaus. They then reunited in 2008 and produced a album 'Go Away White', they also went on tour and pleased their old fans
