Researching Music Tribes

I will start my research my looking at different music tribes and sub cultures so i can understand that there are more music genres, different types of music and to build up my knowledge on other music that i dont listen to; seeing where they originated from, which cultural backgrounds they derived from and which artists and bands made that music tribe more popular. Moreover, the significant reason why i am researching different tribes, is so i can use one for my music magazine and to see which one would be better for the magazine and better to work on.
