Punk: Magazine Examples
The magazine show characteristics o
These magazines exemplify the punk genre's lifestyle and characteristics. The men's hair is long, similar to Heavy Metal however, it is not as rough and dark as Heavy Metal appearances, also the men in the magazines have facial hair and suits which show how masculine and more formal than other types of rock they are; used to attract the female audience.
The instruments also show the music genre, guitars and drums are typical instruments of the genre. Furthermore, the women are portrayed with make up, funky hair (dyed pink) and colourful tops to signify how fun and funky their music is. Also the women are portrayed with more suttle and less obvious make up, this contrasts with the goth subculture, where they wear heavy make up and use dark colours to represent their attitude and music style.
